Assessment and Evaluation
Assessment of young children with developmental delays is an ongoing process meant to identify the unique strengths and concerns of the child and family. Information gathered during the assessment will help determine whether a child is eligible for AzEIP services. This information will also help the team plan appropriate services and supports. All assessments include a comprehensive evaluation of:
- Cognitive Development
- Physical development, including vision and hearing
- Communication skills
- Social and emotional development
- Adaptive skills
